In the Famagusta district, around Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni, almost everything we do is outdoors and almost all of it is about the pool and the terrace.
Holiday villas and rental properties here live or die on their outdoor space, and the pool area does the most work in the photographs that let a property book out. Natural stone coping and paving photograph far better than concrete or grey porcelain, and more importantly they stay comfortable to walk on barefoot in the middle of the day, which is the actual test.
Built-in barbecues and full outdoor kitchens are the other constant request. For a rental, a stone barbecue is a fixture that cannot be stolen, blown over or ruined by a winter of being left out, which is not true of the freestanding kind. We build them with firebrick-lined chambers, worktops either side and storage below.
Timing matters more in this district than anywhere else on the island. Owners generally want the work done between seasons so the property is not out of use, so it is worth talking to us in autumn or winter about anything you want ready before the summer.
Getting it to you
The Famagusta district is the longest run from our workshop, so we plan the work as a single trip wherever possible. Off-season scheduling usually suits rental owners best.
